I am having another one of those dreams

One where everything is what it seems

I catch all the lies I am told

Into the system I have not been sold

My soul is not spiritually chained to a wall

And humanities faith has not taken so well to the fall

We still see a light,

and find no need to fight

A dream surrounded by illusions that feel so real

For once I have the freedom to feel

I guess a taste of peace is better than none

Only with our eyes open will we ever overcome

To be able to absorb the value of life while we are awake

More souls need to wake up for mankind’s sake

No one ever said we have to accept an unhappy ending

We can head in another direction and begin the healing

It’s just as easy as seeing what is in front of your eyes,

before everything we ignore ups and dies

If only I could capture and cage the desire I own while I sleep

Then my voyage to a better future I could rightfully keep

But until then I suppose my dreams will have to do

Just please remember I can’t do this alone, I need you
