Stitching up the Fractures by

I once was a victim … now I am a survivor.

I’ve been doing a lot of mending … still have more mending to do ….

    Woah…

  • I know Damian … the forensics photos that I was shown a couple of months ago left me in shock … I was suffering from malnutrition and looked like I had just walked out of a concentration camp … a totally different person to how I am now.

Really deep and moving image Lisa….the fragments of our lives take time to fit back together sometimes but we do it each day with simple things we can do me thinks…xx

  • Thanks KS … it does take a while but you are so right …. those simple and seemingly small things that we do each and everyday are what make our days and make our lives … life is to be enjoyed for the living and so I am grateful of everyday and the blessings of those simple things … :)

What a powerful work – this has so so much truth and reality in it – and life is made up of tiny steps. Some forward, sometimes some back as well. But – once you make the decision to go forward, I think the mending and growing becomes a lifetime thing…
    Thank you for posting this.

  • Thanks K …. yeah … it took a long time to make the decision, but as I’ve said, it’s something that I’ll never regret and now that I’m thru the interminable limbo of what would happen to him I can now step forward every day. One small step every day, but always forward … I’ve got two of the greatest reasons on the planet to keep me going …

so moving and powerful……it hurts to look at this……I never want to know how it feels to live it……you are to be congratulated for your strength and talent.

  • and may you never have to know … but that you are aware and open to these issues is important as you might have the chance to be there for someone who is in need of making the change .. needs someone there who can see and hear them …
Thank you so much Venus! ;)
