This is one of 3 pieces I am exhibiting this week at the Cube gallery, Manchester (22nd – 26th June). They will also be on display as part of the Eighteen Percent Grey Show Graduate show at Sustain, Shoreditch, London.
Taken from my current series is entitled ‘Falling Feathers’. This is a conceptual and philosophical project in which I am asking the question- Is the current life we are living the freedom of which death will end, or will our death bring us a different kind of freedom from this current life? Using birds and flight to juxtapose with the limitations of our own living bodies, i am exploring the passing of life into death. The imagery in this series contrasts and interchanges freedom with captivity and life with death
