1950 Mercury with modified Cadillac front end and wheels

It’s always nice to start with a nice clean shot of the foreground image. I used a zoom blur to create the movement in the road. I enlarged a section from the background image and stretched it wider. The headlights are masked and duplicated on a separate layer, brightness is added along with a outer glow. The light beams are created from a white airbrushed dot that is stretched very wide, rotated to the proper angle with the center over the headlight. then the area of the beam to the left of the headlights is erased away.

The name’s Flyrod. American car culture is my thing. If it rolls, roars, or rumbles I’m into it. Statistics and facts aren’t my gig. My mission is to track down and capture the infamous rides that make up pop culture, and to tell their stories.

Sure looks to be in motion. Once again, thanks of sharing some of your methods. I’m not sure I can do the headlight thing with PSE9. I will try.

  • Thanks a lot Paul. Glad you like the how to info.
