Artist's Description

Canon 5D Mark 2, 24-105mm 1:4 lens. Photoshop CS5

Reincarnation a drive-by poem by Flyrod

By an orange grove in California in a rustic old shed
Lies a Model A Ford that was left there for dead

It came from Oklahoma back in Dust Bowl Days
When that Great Depression had the country in malaise

A Rockabilly Rebel brought it back to life
With a year of hard work and a whole lot of strife

With a low and lean profile and whitewall tires
And a satin black finish that the punk girls admire

Some folks doubt the future of this nation
They have no faith in this new generation

They see guys with earrings and girls with tattoos
And a future they built that they’re now gonna’ loose

But when you see a car that looks as good as this
Here’s a detail that you don’t want to miss

You can’t judge a book by the cover, they say
And when it comes to people it works the same way

You old school rodders were pretty much the same
Every mother worried that you’d shame the family name

Anybody out there with the skill to build a car
Is gonna’ get through life and might go far

You’ll worry lots less about the next generation
Take a lesson from this Ford and it’s reincarnation
