When you’re on the road and your car’s got trouble
There’s a man named Joe that’ll fix her on the double
He’s the owner of the Indian Hills gasoline station
Where the service is the finest in the whole darn nation.
It’s a Texaco station with the big red star
They’ve got everything you need no matter what your car
If you’re running low on gas you don’t need to be tense
Cause a gallon down at Joe’s goes for twenty-five cents.
If you’re feeling kind of hungry and you need a little treat
They got cookies and donuts that you just can’t beat.
If she’s running kind of rough and the engine is a knockin
Joe will tune her up fast and he’ll get you a rockin.
If she’s hot and boiling over and you’re thinking “Holy Moses”
They’ve got belts, and bolts, and clamps, and all kinds of hoses.
There’s some fellows out front sittin’ telling dirty jokes
They’ll make you feel welcome like your one of the folks.
If she’s squeakin and moanin and the she needs a little greesin
Just pull her on in you don’t need another reason.
If she’s got a flat tire and you ain’t got a spare
Joe will patch her up good and fill her full of air.
The rest rooms are clean just ask for the key
that’s a comfort to know when you’ve gotta take a pee.
Say “fill er up Joe” and you’ll be on your way
Take that big old Dodge across the U.S.A.
