The name’s Flyrod. American car culture is my thing. If it rolls, roars, or rumbles I’m into it. Statistics and facts aren’t my gig. My mission is to track down and capture the infamous rides that make up pop culture, and to tell their stories.

    MONUMENTS

A long, black, and shiny Cadillac car
In a barren land so distant and far

Witness the monuments of nature and man
Evolving from kayos? Or built with a plan?

Monuments rising a thousand feet high
Carved by the wind and reaching the sky

A machine built for travel embellished with style
    Expanding horizons with every mile

The lifespan is short for works man-made
Coveted possessions will all surly fade

These rocks were carved out by wind blown sand
Dotting the valley majestic and grand

A scene in the making for millions of years
The natural world and all its frontiers

Nature reclaims all that man makes
His greatest achievements and worst mistakes

“From dust to dust”, the old saying goes
A man also reaps that which he sews

Metal will rust and paint will fade
Such is the fate of all that’s man-made

You made me find all of the 4 images flyrod. One of your signature reflections imposed on the Caddy. Makes is so believable. Also have to agree with “Nature reclaims all that man makes
His greatest achievements and worst mistakes”
    Great job!

  • A million thanks my friend.
