The name’s Flyrod. American car culture is my thing. If it rolls, roars, or rumbles I’m into it. Statistics and facts aren’t my gig. My mission is to track down and capture the infamous rides that make up pop culture, and to tell their stories.
BEL AIR COWBOY
It’s a hot summer night on the West Texas plainOff in the distance you hear a freight train
Or could it be the sound of evil you fearHeadlights approaching as you look to the rear
You smell burning rubber and high-octane gasMove to the shoulder and just let them pass
Don’t make eye contact and keep your head lowThey’re like a time bomb that’s ready to blow
They tore-up the pavement on Interstate TenThis driver spent fifteen years in the pen
A psycobilly cowboy from the town of GreeneWhipped by “the man”, this boy turned out mean
An old Bel Air Chevy with a big four-o-nineWith plenty of guts and a thick steel spine
Two deadly monsters acting as oneRaising some Hell and killing for fun
The Highway Patrol was left in the lurchThe Texas Rangers had a statewide search.
Those law dogs were dumb as a sack of nailsSniffing out leads but everyone fails
The old yellow ragtop had plenty of gutsA whiskey-bent driver they all thought was nuts
They crossed the state with barely a pauseA Hell-bound duo without any cause
Just born to be wild and always on edgeLike suicide jumpers out on a ledge
Folks said they both were in love with dyingAnd they got their wish without even trying
They crashed head-on with a gasoline truckA line was crossed and they ran out of luck
They buried them deep and neither was mournedThe punk and his Chevy that everyone scorned
Hell swings open it’s rusty gateThe Bel Air Cowboy has met his fate
Enjoyed the poem and the image, flyrod!

This is some amazing processing, love the tattoo effect down the side of the car and how you have turned primer into paint, great stuff! Poem and concept your usual high standard.
