A little mouse painted on a postcard for a relative for Christmas.

I think it took an hour…? Acrylics, and watercolour postcard paper. The other two pictures (a fish and a black stilt) are up on my blog.

Reference was a photo from Minibeast (Hand-Made Habitats) ( I think. One in that series anyway) and it’s a Long Tailed Field Mouse, or Wood Mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus). Whiskers are too thick – had problems using the little brush…
