she has a puny imagination
The title is supposed to be lower- case. Inspired by floating cats, I suppose. : > and imagination-
but, no….I created this thinking about the oxymoron of becoming an adult, and the children I see today, wearing makeup and talking on cellphones who should be enjoying childhood, not adulthood. Perhaps I am being illusional? But, in spite of it, it saddens and frustrates me when I see little girls and boys who are trying to grow up so fast…. and i don’t think it’s so much children to blame, but, i believe, it’s the media….
how frustrating! i remember when climbing trees and playing on a playground when you’re twelve was considered normal.
but, enough ranting!

Wow this is a masterpiece. I love the angle of her head, just cocked slightly – it works really well. Colours are fantastic as well. Great job, you are very talented.

I love this fantastic work. Here’s another Children’s Story . . .
I wonder where childhood has gone too.
A couple of generations before mine, and children were working for almost nothing in factories and sweatshops. I wonder if childhood is a changing sort of thing.
I’d like it to be fun and carefree, too, but I don’t think it’s got much of a future, and that saddens me, too.

the art work caught my attention, it is thought provoking and beautiful.
then, i read your description, and Whamo!
i agree 100%. as a kid, climbing trees and having to wait a while to talk to my friends is something that a lot of the kids don’t comprehend today. weird, i think.
anyways, so glad i happened upon your work : )

i think the media is definitely up for most of the blame. how could kids not want to have make-up and cell phones when it just “sooooooo cool”(sarcasm)
when you lookin magazines these days you see kids that can barely walk and they have high heels and lip gloss.
but maybe its also the parents for encouraging it? or not so encouraging but “allowing” it.
anyways enough of my ranting =P
i love this picture, i love the colours, and the kittys:)
