Oil on canvas. Detail of a larger painting.
My Life With Trilobites – you can see more information about this image on my blog, The Flying Trilobite .
I like this detail of the larger piece: should I upload the whole thing, weird size and all? The original is 12″×24″.

This is very cool, reminds me of Beksinski.
Hey thanks!
I coated it in stand oil, and it pooled and went all grotty. Tough to photograph, but I like it.
wonderfully surreal! and the dirty, grotty look really suits it! :)
Thanks JenniferB! This is actually a close up. There is a bit more to it you can see here .
wow..this is soooooooooo crazy GOOD….wow!
Thanks Jacqleen! You can see the whole image on my new dotcom, glendonmellow.com in the painting section. I kind of like this detail on its own too.

Nicely painted!!!
Thanks Netmonk!
I poured stand oil all over it and it pooled in interesting ways on the surface. Tough to photograph though.
I’ve begun a new series featuring this character. I’ll be posting new images throughout the summer.
superb relationship between all life, past present!!! Trilobites are the fossils that are the most amazing to find for me!!! They are supposedly the rarest fossils in Cornwall, but i have found nearly 40, along with many others!!! i love this painting and its brilliant concept! georgie
