    Although it looks like snow beneath the trees, it’s all ash. We flew over not long after the fire was extinguished.

    Great perspective. After the massive fires last summer wwe’ve had the contrast with snow amongst the ashes over winter. The fact that the white IS ash is frightening yet amazing. Great shot.
