I took this photo yesterday at the stables on base. This is a light post up there and it is packed full of nuts from top to about 6ft from the bottom, I’m going to try to get a full shot of the whole thing the next time I’m up there, it’s pretty cool looking!!!

    this is an interesting tree… very unusual .. would like to know more abt it…and how the nuts end up here…

  • Harsh, this is actually a light pole. They holes were formed by woodpeckers pecking for bugs to eat. In return the squirrels use the holes to hide all of their nuts in for the winter. Come spring time, all of these nuts will be gone because the squirrels will have eat them all. It is their version of our pantry. Thank you very much for you comment!!!!!!
