Wow!!! There is a lot going on in here – i just viewed it larger but i think i need more time to take it all in. I love the textures in this – beautifully alive with flowers and wonderful colours – almost a wallpaper of beauty. The light is amazing too – beaming out from the screen – so much positive energy yet the trapped child, and the title makes me think something is wrong – an amazing piece of art.

People always face this problem. The richness of texture seems imply the complexity of real life situations. And the child is a metaphor pf people left in difficult position. When we face some problems we are helpless as a child. A mature man who asks the question is in deep thought. This seems a human fate. How shall we face our fate? The thought-provoking work functions like a wonderful fable.

this is us all of us yes, some my advoid the so called rebirth, but one day in our lifes, we have to look back.feel back and shake loose all the dirt on our past shoes, that slow us down from reaching our true goal, we were here to do, and find lovely art piece with a message to us all keep the medamorphus? going till you are free of want and have the real knowledge of compleateness

wow. i’ll try to write something intelligent when my life becomes my own again, but I’ll have to study it. a surpassing, rich, candid work of art, can see that….

Wonderful art-work Martin-like a lot of your creations they are open for interpetation-here I think many of us feel trapped by our inviroment and circumstances and some are strong enough and have the drive to change things while others just give in as part of life. Most of our character is of course developed in childhood which sets the stage for the I am in how but how do I get out..

A great piece of artwork, FlyBoy. So much depth. It seems like an attempt to unravel the complexities of your psyche. Any one of us can only touch on bits and pieces that we believe make up who we are, or what we have become. This work is wonderfully complex. It feels like the darkness we search through in our minds, or our subconsciousness, with little bits and pieces of known “reality” that pop to the surface now and then, only to confuse us by disappearing again and pushing other “realities” to the surface.

Amazing Grace, a wonderful work.
A beautiful child has grown into a beautiful wise man.

Gosh, Martin. You’ve obviously tapped into a rich vein. You’ve certainly brought out the writers, in the Redbubble community. The child looks thoughtful, quizzical, wise.

This is incredibly well done; mind boggling…...almost chaotic and yet NOT! The lighting is exquisite, the layers, shadows, patterns and textures all perfect; this depicts a sense of time elapsing. Are we trapped within or trapped from going in…..Superb!

Very interesting and beautiful work ….love it , bravo Martin !!! I think the most of us can relate to it ..sometimes we feel like locked in our innerworld and we can’t find the way out of our imaginary prison !!! Love your work !!!:-)

lovely work martin and the title says so much. all of us have a child locked within stifled from sometime in our development, and the secret is to find and set the creative child free!!!

the truth shall set you free,, easy said, but the pain of admitting that thing that froze you, that is the rub,but also the must

So many intricate layers of meaning and feeling in this. Seems like going back in time, or maybe coming forward in time…. To me it seems that this is what your memories look like…. some are clear, and some obscure, some moving, some fixed. It has a real depth and authenticity to it.

beautiful work, moving

Hello Martin! I think this image is fascinating and seems to present a paradox. It’s almost like being reborn or reincarnated in that moment.. Thought provoking image! Love it!
