2003 was the last year I painted portraits. I did have a huge fixation on portraits and this one just evolved. I used to love starting a portrait from the mind and wonder who the painting was going to turn out like.

This painting was called ‘Honesty’ because of the girl’s crystal clear and genuine eyes.
