The chrysantemum was cultivatd in China as a flowering herb and is described in writings as early as the 15th Century B.C. In fact, their pottery depicted the chrysanthemum.
As an herb, it was know to have the powr of life.
boiled roots were used as a headache remedy; young sprouts and petals were eaten in salads; and leaves were brewed for a festive drink.
The chinese word for crysanthemum is “Chu”.
The Greek word for the flower is “Chrysos”.

I became interested in photography at an early age, focusing mostly on Macro images. Later, I expanded to a wider range of subjects after discovering the wonderful photographers on Redbubble.
I have been inspired by many excellent photographers here on Redbubble, and have found myself broadening my range in subjects. I do love Macro work, for it brings the small delicate details out in an image. Nature has become even more interesting when viewing it up close.
