Tough-Nut Mine-Tombstone Az-Silver Mine 1880's by 


This is a shot of the beams they use to reinforce the ceiling of rock while they mine the ore. If you look close on the lower left you can see some tourquoise along with other minerals. This is the first silver mine that started all the silver mining in Tombstone.
They mined silver, gold, gypson and more.

I became interested in photography at an early age, focusing mostly on Macro images. Later, I expanded to a wider range of subjects after discovering the wonderful photographers on Redbubble.

I have been inspired by many excellent photographers here on Redbubble, and have found myself broadening my range in subjects. I do love Macro work, for it brings the small delicate details out in an image. Nature has become even more interesting when viewing it up close.

    oh,, I would die not literally,, LOL, too see this, we live 3 hrs. away from the Ausable chasms here in NY,, and cant get away long enough too go,, thats our vacation plan for next summer tho,,I cant wait and will have a better camera by then,,

  • Wow, get as many pictures as possible. Did you know that the great lakes are tied together by way of under ground caverns full of water?
    There is a lot of geology in your area.

    i did know that, thanks, there is so much out there too explore,, its time money and getting there these days,, we are upgrading our camper by next summer so we can go on longer trips,, I will be sure too upload when I go too the ausable chasms

    Wow, These mine photos are awesome , have never seen one and have been working with gems for many years making jewelry, I guess I live in the woods and of course on top of that on an Island. Thanks for posting these :-)
