Cinema Photographer by Ann Warrenton

Currently unavailable for purchase

This is my Father-in-Law, a real Cinema Photographer,
G. Warrenton Sr.

He started working in the movie industry in 1909. He worked with Mr. Kodak in the begining of color photography in New York. He worked over the years for many of the major companies, RKO, Universial, MGM, United Artist, etc.
He wrote an article about film and how it was made.

I became interested in photography at an early age, focusing mostly on Macro images. Later, I expanded to a wider range of subjects after discovering the wonderful photographers on Redbubble.

I have been inspired by many excellent photographers here on Redbubble, and have found myself broadening my range in subjects. I do love Macro work, for it brings the small delicate details out in an image. Nature has become even more interesting when viewing it up close.

Fantastic! And what a wonderful history you have in the family too. I bet in his day he was full of fulgurous work.

  • Yes, he was very much into proper lighting, shadows, etc. He loved black and white pictures best, he said the expressions were better displayed and you got more feeling out of the picture.

Amazing piece of history……Thanks for sharing.

  • Sorry to be so late answering,
Thank you, there is so much more to him. He was one of the first SS/FBI agents and he also was involved in photographing the Atomic bomb test in the bikini atolls and New Mexico. The photo that everyone see with the ships going up in the water shaft is my father-in-lasw work. I have the original photo
