This stone cirlce sits outside Keswick in the English Lake District. The stone cirlce is a prehistoric monument, probably constructed by settlers of the UK islands in 3200 BC. The purpose of such circles remains unclear, however theories suggest some sort of lunar or solar worship, pointing to evidence that lunar and solar events are aligned with the stones at the equinox. This photograph was taken in March 2008 on a snowy spring morning.
