The Rose by Ursula Rodgers
Size:

$6.60

My Dad has written some beautiful poems, including ‘The Rose’. He’s not a member of Red Bubble (yet!). Nevertheless, this is a collaboration with him. I was inspired to do this after doing The Rose, Part I but I think this image suits his words much better.

The Rose

Quivering in the Morning Sun she stood,
Waving to and fro,
Her beautiful colored head, embraced
in glittering drops of dew.

Looking at this Rose that Morning new.
I could not help but think of you,
To hold this Rose, embrace its perfume
And its Thorns too.

Wonderful match!!! Father and daughter both carry plenty of talent that´s worth to share with others, in my opinion. Love the poem! To me, it´s about someone you unconditionally love. For both the beautiful memories, as well as the painful ones.

  • That’s a beautiful thing to say Peter. I believe you have hit the nail on the head with your interpretation of the poem. Let’s see what my Dad says! Thankyou :)
