Glitter

Glitter

I’m not familiar with the anatomy of a begonia plant, so I’m not sure exactly what to call this part of it…I know that the flowers do bud from here! Looking at it at a glance, it seems pretty ordinary, but a view through a macro lens changed my perception completely…

Taken with a Canon EOS 450D, using a Sigma 50mm f2.8 macro lens (1:1 – the two ‘leaves’ at the forefront measure 1 cm across from tip to tip).

Fascinating stuff! You’ll be buying an electron microscope next and going all scientist on us! (do some bugs!)

  • Ursula Rodgers replied

he he he he!! The reason I laugh is because ironically, I am a scientist!! Not sure the images I collect of (human) cells would be so fascinating though…but then I look at the damn things everyday, so am probably a bit blase ;)

  • grimduke1

    grimduke1

Yeah, lets see some human cells in close up!...That’ll be good! ;)

  • Ursula Rodgers replied

lol! I haven’t forgotten about it…just need to dig through some of the images I got from my microscopy work ;)
