Disturbance by

I thought I’d upload 1 more image from the shoot with Harrison (my 6 year old son). The colour adjustments were all made in CS4. It’s the same concoction of flour, water and food colouring as in Surfacing . This was actually the first photo I took of him in the session.

Now all I need to do is think of what I’m going to cover him in next…

Love it, such vibrancy. His eyes are so vivid. and to think, some people collect stamps, others cover their children in paint….lol.

    Awesome series Naomi.

I love bold creative photography. This rocks.

So did you add the red a blue colours in post-production or was that the colour of the food colouring?

  • The red and blue was in post production. I channel swapped the original red and blue channels to get the yellow, then I duplicated the layer and colorized it til I got the red then made it a layer mask and painted it in.

    Oh his EYES!!
Amazing post work to get the colours (I won’t even pretend to understand what “channel swapped” is … but the result is FANTASTIC!)
