I actually won a competition I entered…YAY
Lake Macquarie City Council held a photographic competition entitled “Our Coast, Our Stories”. I entered 3 pictures and won 2 prizes.
There were 3 judges who had about 120yrs of photographic experience between them so I was really chuffed to think that they liked my pictures.
I came second in the “People on the Coast” section with this image of Redhead Beach
and I won the “Monochrome” section with this one
I got 400 6×4 prints an 8×10 print 2 certificates and a photographic book of coastal marine life. The pictures now go on tour throughout the region being displayed in libraries. There were pictures taken for the paper and websites and a tv crew also turned up and filmed the winning pics.
So YIPEE…
