My Husband’s Great Grandparents Homestead
I wanted this one to have an “old’ feel to it, considering the home was built in the 1920’s.
Homestead belongs to the following groups:
Infrared Photography, IPA -International Photographers Alliance, New South Wales Photography and Water Towers Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

Thanks. midzing. You were quick tonight…

Firstly, the composition is an absolute wonder. The placing of the farming buildings and the trees initially sets the shot perfectly.
Then we move on to those gorgeous tones, especially of the main 1920’s building – It really stands out as the main focal point of the shot.
The trees on the horizon are crisp and interesting and the IR treatment gives them that trademark NF feel.
And finally that sky – Wow – The criss crossing of clouds is topped off my the central one, which demands attention and underlines the sky
Overall – I like

Well thank you, Stuart..so pleased you like it. I had to put this one up because of the sky…it certainly was amazing. Only lasted about 20mins like this and then the clouds swept in to completely blanket the sky.

I haven’t been having much luck lately…..tripods and shutter releases keep breaking on me.
I’d arrived at the farm and on my first expedition the tripod broke after only taking 2 shots. I was not happy. I couldn’t tighten it properly and the camera would slowly droop forward. It was a case of balancing everything in just the right spot to get the long exposures. I did manage to borrow one for the rest of the trip but it couldn’t do portraits – so you’ll be seeing a few landscapes from me. But i did manage to get a bargain when I got to Sydney…this new one will outlast me I think..lol
