Infrared Lightening
We had a really big storm here this afternoon and I managed to capture a lightening bolt….. in IR….I told you I never take off the filter…lol This is looking out my backdoor.
I had a 10sec exposure and an aperture of 5.0 – it’s a little dark…but the sky was actually really dark too so there wasn’t much light around and I know the composition is not brilliant…. but I’m still really pleased with it.

Capturing Lightning is more difficult than cougars! At least I see the see the kitty in a flash; but where’s the lightning going to strike? THIS IS WONDERFUL AND CREATIVE USE OF A DIFFERENT FILM! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the wonderful comments.
@ drec – I use an R72 filter on my digital camera to capture the infrared. You can get DSLR’s converted – I think it’s rather expensive, but then you don’t need long exposures either.
