Dwarf Nebula

Dwarf Nebula

I took this one today and it turned out with the usual blue and whites…I wanted something different and so I had a fiddle with it in Photoshop Elements 4.0 I’m really not sure what I did to get it to this place….but I think it turned out OK.
I added a few layers, inverted one, multiplied them, added gradients – all sorts of fun stuff and this is what happened. I doubt I could do it again if I tried.
What do you think???

Awesome work Naomi! I think the best images happen when you just have a play and you’ve really achieved a fantastic result here!

Awesome work Naomi! Very dream like! Sounds like you had fun in PS, trying everything in the book… layers upon layers upon layers… the foreground is excellent, the different tones in the trees is really interesting and I love the colour in the sky.. I just woke up, but I’m not sure if I did now!

The only trouble i’ve found with experimenting like that Naomi, is that when you get a fantastic result (like this great shot), you’re at a total loss as to how to recreate it again!

    Love the cloud treatment

    Hi Paul,
I’ve only just started to play with layers – I’m not one for instruction manuels – I’ve learnt everything I know through pressing buttons mostly delete but I’m happy with how this one turned out. Thanks for your support.

    Hi Stuart,
I guess being IR I probably don’t need to worry too much about how I did it, cause the sky and light will never be exactly the same as this again anyway – so even if I did know what I’d done I don’t think I could ever get anything to look like this!!! Ahhh the wonders of IR…
