Nobby's Beach
This is an IR shot of Nobby’s Beach in Newcastle, Australia.
I’m keen to see how many connotations you can all come up with.
This is the beach where the Pasha Bulker came ashore in a huge storm we had earlier in the year.

Very nice.. love it in black and white, giving great contrast between the dark sky and white sand. Love the simplicity of the shot.. great view!

Connotations – Me? (Not after yesterday’s mishap with the door handle!!!)
As for the shot, it’s glorious in its simplicity, What I really like is the different tones in that glorious untrampled sand.
The wave movement is nice and calm, and you imagine that the sky was a deep marvellous blue.
It’s all topped off nicely with the structure (sorry, I can’t make out what it is – would love to know) on the left which really gives this neat shot a great punch.

Wonderful simplicity, beautiful all that untouched sand!! :)
Deborah Parkin
this is just beautiful in its simplicity. I love the strong contrasts that compliment one another so beautifully. The sand is sheer perfection as the sky really – nothing has touched it – the only hint of mankind is the building in the distance, which looks so remote, even abandoned. This is wonderful work again Naomi – i love it!!!
