I;ve seen splash photos before, but this one is unusual. It looks like a composite of two photos, or even three. A happy accident.

Don’t you find that sometimes it’s not always the expected that gives you the most satisfaction. The jumping water and curves look like a beast from the sea coming towards you with tentacles waving everywhere.
The reflection of the wave on the sand is also great, I wish my shots came out like this before editing – great work Naomi
