Landing Void

Landing Void by Naomi Frost

Landing Void

This is an IR shot. I took it today and the weather was extremely overcast so I’ve tried a few different things in The Lightroom.
Hope you like it.

Nice comp Naomi. Like the texture in the forground. The landing post is in just the right place….........(its on a third so I like it there (big big grin)). Love the trees and grass….you can’t beat a big cloudy sky….much more drama than none at all…..

love the darkness of the water – like jumping into ink – the colours are really wonderful actually – feels so cold and icy. Love the perspective too :)

Excellent work Naomi.. the trees in the background are stunning and the broken down jetty in the foreground adds real interest to the shot.. Love the colour tones in this one too. A great job with that overcast sky!

A well done IR image. love the comp and tonality. Would you consider cloning of the pole, leaving only the trees and dock intact?

Thanks so much, Eyal. I have already cloned out 2 poles – i did consider getting rid of this one, but, I’m not sure…..I might try one and see. Thanks for the suggestion.

I find this very moody and the black water feels foreboding, like what you’ve done with this.
