That pink balloon reminds me of how striking Christina’s dress looked in Andrew Wyeth’s painting, “Christina’s World”. Pink on a somber background really has an effect that can knock you off your feet. The picture has a bit of an haunted feel to me. I wonder why he is holding his hand up that way?
