A friend here informed me that this is commonly called tobacco fungus, thus the title for this piece. The gentle ruffles encourage us tp harvest it and see what delights it holds. Our inner caution advises against this foolishness with good cause, it is highly toxic. Feeding on rotting oaks will do that to a fungus, you know.
