St Michael's Mount by

A view from the beach at Penzance towards the spectacular, and still privately owned, St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall. Only a short time before this image was captured, the causeway – a brick pathway – across to the Mount was fully exposed.

There are times when poor light is not necessarily a hindrance. The sky cleared a little while after this photograph was taken, but arguably the subdued light here has not detracted from the scene’s appeal.

Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens.

Exposure of 6 seconds at f/22.
