East Mersea, Essex
Mersea Island, the most Easterly populated island in the UK, may not be renowned as a photogenic location, but, standing here at East Mersea, with the gently flowing seawater lapping against the tops of the wellies, with the line of posts so obligingly composed, and with the glorious colours spreading across the late afternoon sky, it was possible for a moment or two to believe that this was the most beautiful place on Earth.
Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens.
Exposure of 30 seconds at f/13.

Thanks, Rhonda and Gompo.
No ND filters used, Gompo. This was taken a little time after the sun had set. Thanks, again, for your kind comment.

This is gorgeous Ian – I spent a lot of time as a child in Mersea (I’m originally from Colchester), but I’ve never seen it look as beautiful as this. Great shot.
