Battersea Power Station, London, England.by Teddy Sugrue
This old power station was used to provide power to the greater London area . Coal driven it was opened in1939 closed down in 1983 dueto the pollution it was causing.The famous Old Londo Fog would normally develop from such pollution. It is the largest brick building in Europe and is now listed by English Heritage on its bulidings at risk register. An Irish real estate company purchased the building in 2006 for £400.000,000.and are now the owners of the property.
