I’m a UK based artist and I’ve been painting in watercolour for over 20 years, I love Impressionism and seek to introduce an element of expression into my work through the use of vibrant colour. My work is primarily still life, I like to use the colour and images from nature in my work and aim to combine this with the effects of watercolour to produce a rendition that is truly unique.
I have a passion for watercolour and I hope this comes across in the work I produce, I’m almost entirely self taught and for years my main source of information about painting in watercolour came from books, although I attended some classes to take on board technique, I found that the main turning point came from attending a masters course with Ann Blockley who helped me to allow watercolour to be watercolour, and to allow me to paint like me.
