I’m an amateur photographer living in the outer eastern suburbia of Melbourne. I have no formal photography training. I work full time in town so photography is a weekend thing.
I’m pretty lazy when it comes to photographic theory and I struggle with (and to some degree have given up on) the concepts of understanding my camera – bracketing / light metering / F-Stops / apertures – are all still like a foreign language to me. I’ve spent 2 years experimenting with Photoshop. Teaching myself until I reached a place where I can use it to get what I think each image needs from it.
Creating an “atmosphere” in my images is a pretty big part of what I aim for – it has to speak to me before I can expect it to appeal to anyone else.
Anyway, please enjoy my photos – comment if you feel it needs it and buy one if you think it speaks to you too.
