Liz Calmiano

I’m a textile artist who is greatly passionate about colour and fabric and exploring new mediums all the time. My current interests are in silk batik/painting and machine embroidery – including freehand machine embroidery, (which is like drawing with a sewing machine). I love the idea that with textiles it’s about touch and feel as well as sight.

I currently exhibit my work twice a year in the Brighton art open houses and have exhibited twice at Westbourne art gallery with Linda Kirkbride.
