These prisms are part of the lamp used in the Vlaming Head lighthouse situated 17 km north of Exmouth in Western Australia.In December the lamp will be lit for the celebration of its 100th anniversary.The beam will do a 360 degree circle for the first time in 50 years.
I took many shots of the geometrically interesting lamp components but a lot were spoiled by the layer of dust that had built up on them.
No doubt they will be cleaned and polished up for the celebrations, no mean feat in the tiny cramped space.

Since Joining RB a couple of years ago I have felt the need to upgrade my camera (although I still love My Canon 400D) to a 7D and my lenses. My favourite is the Canon 100mm macro. Hopefully there will be an improvement in my work.
