In my maze of… s t u f f.. I discovered this picture..I really liked it. I didn’t photograph it, just scanned it.. Thought I’d share… Giving these guys their minute of fame… Notice the clothes in the enlarged version. There are 22 students with two instructors what a luxury, by todays standards

I have had a life long interest in Photography anything that moves me… as well as interests in spirituality, new to writing, the internet, and sharing my love of beauty, as I see it. I’ve owned Pentax cameras since 1969, a die hard Pentax believer!
I will be moving to new digs, 29 Dec 2011 Maple, Ontario; the basement of a house, can’t get any lower..a far cry from my lofty 22nd floor apt., of a few years ago!

I wonder why it was in that period of time (early 1900’s??) that no one ever smiled, lol. Look at the stern faces on the instructors and even the kids. It has a cool tin roof! :)Karen

  • I too wondered, my guess I early 1900’s, see the dress on e kis. They all look like little men in Santa’s workshop!!!

How times have changed, did you notice there are NO GIRLS in the class. It’s so cool to look back on these old pieces and see just how far we have come…Jules

  • Yea, just as we go to a museum; as photographers we document the now, the moment forever… very important captures…we leave nothing for our young people~ we tear down and are a throwaway society.. images are all we have to pass on..

It’s in remarkably good condition and a good image. Did you notice the figures at the far right look semi-transparent?

  • Yea, the window lighting playing havock.. notice the collars on the coats of the children. The enlarged version shows a bunch..
