INSPIRATION BEHIND THE ARTWORK

Vanessa Renee Reece (born November 11, 1990), better known by her stage name V-Nasty, is an American rapper from Oakland, California. She is best known for her association with Kreayshawn and White Girl Mob, as well as her 2011 collaboration mixtape with Gucci Mane entitled BAYTL.

CRITICISM

After receiving much criticism for the use of the word “nig*a” in a lot of her music she has justified her use of the word by claiming that she was raised in the ghettos of Oakland and that she is from the “hood”. She has since then announced that she will no longer use the word in her lyrics and because of that, “you’d better be happy”.
