Everything's falling apart
Everything seems to have a place.
It all fits together perfectly.
It has pattern and order and purpose.
But sometimes, despite your best efforts, things unravel.
The ends fray.
Stuff becomes unstuck.
You lose track of the delicate interplay of all those nameless ‘bits’.
The next thing you know, it’s falling apart.
Flying in in the breeze.
And it will never be the same again.
But it feels… free.

woah! that’s one spectacular piece of op art mate. and like all the best, it does funny things to the inside of my head :)

Thanks Dan.
It’s a theme and style I’ve been playing with for a while. This one’s a digital piece, though I have a few large-scale images from this ‘series’ as works on canvas. I must remember to post some (and paint some) more. I’m sure the inside of your head will heal in the meantime.

Ahhh, this is YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I take photos of the traffic boxes in Brisbane, so had already analyzed the image near GoMA in the last few months. Neat.

Again you and I cross paths! I have 3 traffic boxes to date. The one near GOMA is the most recent. I originally wanted to make it black, white and red, though apparently the authoriteis are concerned that too much black could overheat the box and the sensitive electronics within. One day soon I hope to start some of these as works on canvas. I’ll have to remember to invite you to the show. Thanks again for being a supporter.

Thanks so much. The version here is a digital pic. I’ve also just painted this same design using some good old fashioned paint and canvas. I’ll remember to post a pic soon.
