No man has the right to dictate what other men should perceive, create or produce, but all should be encouraged to reveal themselves, their perceptions and emotions, and to build confidence in the creative spirit.
Ansel Adams

An addicted Photoshop fanatic, I’ve been an active photographer since High School (shortly after the invention of the wheel). The digital darkroom has led me to market a variety of postcards and my wife and I also produce ceramic photo tiles using my images and custom tiles for other photographers and their own markets.
I really love the graphic design possibilities now available through digital manipulation, and the freedom it has given us all to express ourselves in this revolutionized field of art.

My current selection of equipment includes:
Canon EOS 5D Mk II
Canon EF16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Lens
Canon EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM Lens
Canon EF70-200 f/2.8L IS USM Lens
2X multiplier
Canon 580EX II Speedlite
Canon remote control
Manfrotto tripod & head

Prior to upgrading to this equipment, I shot primarily with a Nikon D100 and assorted lenses and accessories. Images appearing here have been shot using one or the other of these cameras.
I often hear and read discussions about the merits of Canon vs. Nikon but I am of the belief that any camera is merely a tool to be used in the pursuit of our art. I’ve seen incredible art pieces that came from disposable cameras.

It’s not the quality of the canvas, brushes and oils that make the artist….. It’s how the tools are used in the process of creating a piece of work.

Software includes:
Photoshop CS3
Photomatix Pro 3
Panorama Maker 4Pro
Tiffen Dfx filters
Assortment of textures, both my own and copyright free
Large spray can of enthusiasm and love.

Thank you for looking through my images and I hope you enjoy them.

Sincerely,
Kenton Elliott
