I love it! By the way, the mask, the black creature, it looks like a cute Hollow from Bleach and it also reminds me to the great designs of Miyazaki’s movies.

Hi FireRabbit(s), love your work and the dolls in particular take my fancy. This series is fabulous but (and there always has to be a but!) be a bit careful about who you emulate. The creature in this looks VERY much like the one from “Spitited Away” which I’m sure you know from the Studio Ghibli collection. Just wanted to make you aware so you don’t get in trouble for copyright, especially seeing as it’s being published. Best of luck tho!

Hi, it is referenced but the patterns are different on the face and the body :) It is more of a tribute than anything else.

Fair enough… sorry if I sounded a bit harsh, but I hate for any of us bubblers to get sued! As I said – LOVE your work! I too have a thing for pesky wabbits! :)

  • FireRabbit

    FireRabbit, about 1 year ago

Hi Lisa, no offense taken. I see the similarities, it was inspired heavily by the character design of Studio Ghibli but this is a tribute of my own creation and I was not trying to reproduce their work so there is no reason for concern. Thanks for your the comments though! It’s nice to know that we Bubblers are looking out for one another. :)

For some reason, reminds me slightly of Miro. Don’t know why. Great image.

Thank you very much Fur Jay, Manotron and Gayle! Yup I was inspired by both Spirited Away and Miro and general Anime stuff when I did this piece :)
