Frightening Childhood Story

When I was 12 my friend and I were laying on her lawn silently looking at the stars. I felt compelled to sit up, and as I did my eyes rested upon the house across the street. I noticed the ghost of a little girl standing in the garden by the porch. I’d seen dead people going about their business throughout my childhood so this didn’t seem out of the ordinary. I didn’t say anything, didn’t change my facial expression, I just stared.
The little girl screamed but no sound was heard, her mouth seemed to be opening unusually far as if she we being mummified, and she decayed skin first until she fell into a pile of bones. This all happened in a couple seconds in which I didn’t move or react, I figured it was all in my imagination at this point because of how graphic it was.

But almost immediately, my friend, stood up and ran into the house faster then I’ve ever seen anyone move.

She refused to talk about what had disturbed her.

That’s creepy. I feel sorry for your friend, especially if she wasn’t used to seeing this sort of thing. I hope nothing else you saw was ever this frightening!
