Vibrant Faith

This is rather a bold piece for me, but still I like it. I would be interested in knowing what you thought of it as well.

I didn’t choose to do this as just a form of flaunting my sexuality for the attention. It’s kinda complicated, but I felt it was a good way to represent alot of things that are important to me. My faith (the pentacle), love (my heart), the lace represents femininity, the bright color represents the love of beautiful things, creativity, and standing out from the crowd. The breasts, obviously do represent sexuality, but also my freedom to embrace it without fear of shame, guilt, or embarrassment Even in this day and age, women are made to feel that they must not do this, that they must oppress this side of them, and if they don’t, they are labeled as a whore, treated very badly, and not taken seriously. This is a disgusting double standard, that no matter how hard we try, we cannot seem to shake. Society as a whole needs to learn to respect women and treat them how they deserve to be treated, as they are… beautiful, intelligent, nurturing, valuable, unique, worthy EQUALS! This is how ALL people should be treated.

”...why you think I chose to do it….”

    For the Goddessy-implications, perhaps?

I really like this image! I love love love the way the pentacle is askew, not hanging perfectly straight, because that is the way life often is — slightly askew. I think the pentacle is beautiful with the pretty stone in the middle. I love the vibrant blue of the blouse and the lacy details that flank the ribbon. And the presence of The Girls in the pic doesn’t hurt, either… ;-) ...very feminine and evocative of the Goddess.

Being that I wear a pentacle, this piece is not bold to me at all. My daughters wear one as well! The twins are covered, its all good! : )

The bold part was meant towards the twins ;) I’m not usually one for photographing ANY part of me. lol I’m glad to hear that other earth lovers appreciate the piece as well. :)

I don’t happen to wear a pentacle, but that doesn’t detract from the beauty or the power of the piece. Very nicely done!

In such a simple picture you’ve cleverly capture the feminine aspects of the craft or Wicca (or whatever term you choose to use). I understand when you use yourself as a mode (particular the parts we usually hide) it’s nerve-racking, but this is quite a sensual beautiful picture.
