This photo was taken on Mother’s Day as I headed back home from breakfast with my son and a weekend of Democratic CD2 Convention. This view of the Buffalo with the backdrop of the Continental Divide, sits on Genesee Hill, overlooking Denver on my backside. This day was beautiful yet hazy from all the pollution that sometimes rears it’s ugly head. Growing up as a child, I used to travel this road often, before it became I-70, when there were HUNDREDS of Buffalo roaming the surrounding hillsides, before all the big houses got built and congested the area. This day, for the first time in years, I saw TWO Buffalo. I considered myself lucky though to see such a magnificent creature in this beautiful country I call home. Oh, if the Buffalo still roamed freely…
