The eco-friendly angler fish has to travel to the surface to recharge his fish luring lamps. Not very convenient for a deep sea creature.
Watercolour, ink, pastel and metallic leaf on canvas.

Shiny blue leaf on the solar panels:

A collection of curious beasts of the sea, air, land and subconscious; painted and drawn with airbrush, dip pen and stained fingers, lovingly embellished with iridescent pigments and metal leaf.

Love the detail in your work, how long does it take you from start to finish??
It’s difficult to tell, as I work on several things at once. I suppose if I didn’t have to wait or drying etc, I could finish a piece like this in 1-2 days…?

lol, that’s great :-))) … true enough, he does look rather annoyed. Wonderful to see the close-ups also, love the structure of the canvas with it.
Thanks! :D

Totally brilliant :D Love it! Solar powered eco lights on an angry darkness loving sharp fanged seabeast!!! Its no wonder they’re such angry fish if they have to sit in the sunshine for 8 hours a day to recharge!!!
He didn’t think it all through very well :)
