“Frigate” = a smaller war ship, used for escort duty, (fast, square rigged, 18th century) SO……. a Flying Frigate, would be a birdlike ship, and it landed on a leaf. Where is it going? Is it lost? Does it have a battle to fight? Is it looking for a battle to fight? Is it resting, or poised and waiting to attack? No matter, it is utterly charming as is all your work.
Oh, it did not land on a leaf. That is it’s beak. The Frigate is it’s head-dress. A magnificant hat or plumage. The bony neck is great! The eye is empty, it cannot see.
Thanks Kristina :) It’s rally a hornbill…..but I couldn’t resist calling it a frigate bird!
