In Melbourne this Friday, perchance?

I returned from my Thai diving adventure, safe and sound except for the marine stings.
Next exciting adventure is my show at the Brunswick Street Gallery in Fitzroy, this Friday (Nov 9th), the opening is 6-8pm.
Just around 18 pieces this time, some of which are still not finished (faaark) so I’m NOT allowed on RedBubble tonight (if anyone catches me commenting on work this evening…please Bubble Mail me and tell me to get back to painting!!).
It will be a collection of curious and strange beasts, and there are a few other shows by people in different rooms in the gallery…fun for all!

Oh I wish I were there, I would love to go… also – not sure if you are interested, but Nick Cave is exhibiting in Melbourne starting Tuesday – I would go to that too… maybe I should buy a last minute ticket and fly over!

Mimi – I love the Printmaker’s Gallery, I used to walk to work past it and always got stuck peering into the window. Show’s on for 2 weeks. Thanks!!

Free plug for my friend Deryck…his awesome band ‘Spider Goat Canyon’ are on at Pony that night too. Sort of Melvins-esque/Fugazi/heavy soundscape/whatever genre. Good music.

Actually the PMG is at 272 Brunswick. I will look up the Brunswick Gallery next time I’m in Melbn – wish I had time to go now…. I will tell my coz Zoe about Deryck, she’s in a band called Bergerac in Melb too so I’ll let you know about them next time they perform. I cannot explain what their music’s like, you’ll just have to go and listen..

Thanks everyone! I’ve pretty much finished all my work for it…so I’m going to spend Melbourne Cup day sitting on my ass and hopefully getting through the first series of Deadwood.

Almost made it to the end of Series 1 – Swearengen (my fav character) just fed a junkie to the pigs. Awesome show!!
Hey I thought I saw you at the Lighting workshop last night? I slunk past with my stuff, and had a quick peek in. I was trying to hang my work in the other room without making any noise but everything was wrapped in plastic so it was rustling! Haha. Hope it wasn’t too annoying.
