Sahasrara - The Crown Chakra by

The crowning glory.

This is the last in my series of 7 chakra mandala paintings inspired by my spiritual journey of self-discovery.

This chakra is associated with the colours white and purple. You will often see it represented by a lotus with its petals open as a representation of spiritual awakening.

The crown chakra is considered our connection with Source. It is traditionally associated with the pineal and pituitary glands, as well as the nervous system and the brain. When we have an imbalance, it willl express itself through these glands and organs.

Meditation is key in harmonising and balancing the crown chakra. A time of inner stillness and connection.

Hi Fiona, Fantastic! I also love to meditate and have learnt about the chakras and how they are associated with the body, it is so fascinating, I have been to India and learnt so much spiritually, seems we are quite similar and also paint on silk!

  • Lovely to hear that Lorna. I will get to India one day. :-) It’s great to maintain spiritual practices in our everyday lives. x
